My Journey to Pet Companion

Hi, I'm Terri!

As a passionate and qualified Vet Nurse Assistant, I'm thrilled to share my story and the inspiration behind Pet Companion.

Growing up, I had a limited but loving experience with animals. Despite my father's reservations, we were fortunate to have a cat when I was little, although sadly it passed away. I had always had a heart for animals in particular cats. Later, I cared for guinea pigs, birds, fish, and even looked after mice from school. I always knew I wanted to work with them.

I vividly remember my aunt asking me what I wanted to be when I grew up. Without hesitation, I replied, "A Pet Shop Owner!" As I got older, my love for pets only deepened. When I was a teenager, mum and I got a family cat that I loved profoundly.

These early experiences sparked a deep affection for animals, and I knew from a young age that I wanted to work with them.

I began my journey in the animal care industry by working in a veterinary clinic cattery, where I eventually took on the role of sole charge. This experience taught me the importance of attention to detail and providing top-notch care for animals.

After gaining valuable experience in the cattery, I decided to take the leap and establish my own business. This venture allowed me to apply my skills and knowledge in a new and challenging way.

Later, I pursued my qualification in veterinary nursing, which gave me a deeper understanding of animal health and wellbeing. Throughout my studies and practical experience, I witnessed the profound impact that compassionate, personalised care can have on animals and their owners.

At Pet Companion, I offer a range of personalised pet care services, including dog walking, pet sitting, and specialised care. My mission is simple: to provide professional, compassionate, and personalised care that exceeds my clients' expectations. I take a holistic approach, striving to nurture the whole pet – mind, body, and spirit.

I'm dedicated to delivering exceptional care that brings joy and comfort to both pets and their owners. I'm excited to share my expertise, experience, and passion with you and your beloved pets.
